AMIRA - OUR HISTORY
A historic gem
The Palazzo Argento is a building full of history. Built in 1789 as the family residence of the Argentos, one of a total of thirteen Trieste Patrician families, the "Tredici Casade”, it is situated in one of the oldest and wealthiest streets in Trieste in the Jewish Quarter. During the 18th and 19th centuries, the Argentos enjoyed great prestige in the city and held important political and administrative offices. Today, the only reminders of the eventful past of the Palazzo Argento are the family seal above the main portal and the holiday apartments named after former Patrician families of the city of Trieste. The façade is a listed building that has been painstakingly restored, while the interior has been carefully brought up to modern standards with contemporary building technology and high-quality interior design.
